Here we have a solidly made 3" Robey single crank portable traction engine. Built by the late John Drury to what was probably his own design. John was an extremely well respected and prolific model engineer and the engine is in good condition although currently not having run for a good few years. It has a solidly made steel boiler that has obviously been well looked after.
We have a huge amount to get uploaded to the website at the moment so more words to follow shortly, but for now have a good look at the photos to give you the general idea. As with all our running models, it'll go through the workshop before delivery so it'll be thoroughly tested and have a fresh hydraulic and steam boiler test so it's all working and ready to play.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get! We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
